The storage auction business is growing.

There are rumors out there that the storage auction business is a big hoax and no one can make money buying and selling storage units.  These rumors were all started because people started finding out that the television shows, which show a portrayal of storage buyers making thousand s of dollars, were actually false and the producers of the show were putting items in the unit to create drama for the show.

Now, you would think that people would realize that this was only a show and that there is a reason that there is even a show in the first place.  There really are people out there, just like you and me, who have their own business buying and selling storage units and make profit on a daily basis.  You’re not going to make thousands every time you buy a unit but there is potential to make enough profit to feed your family and pay the bills. 

The storage auction business is not an easy task by any means.  Even to make enough profit to pay the bills can sometimes be tough.  Storage buyers take loses on a frequent basis but just like any business, you are going to take a loss from time to time.  It’s all about making the best educated decision possible.  If you are going to take a risk, make sure it is an educated one. 

Buy units cheap and sell the contents at a good price.  Only buy units that you can see potential in.  If you second guess a unit, stop there, don’t buy it.  Usually your gut feeling is right.  Only buy a unit if you strongly believe that you can make money off of it.  If you can purchase units at the right price, find a way to sell the contents, and be responsible with the money you make, there is great potential for you to do well in the storage auction business.
